Online Account Access (Frequently Asked Questions)

Will we be able to access the history and statements for our accounts from the time prior to the conversion?

Yes. For access to account histories and statements from November 9th, 2007, and earlier, a link to our legacy system will be provided. Account histories and statements from after November 9, 2007, can be accessed using our new system.

Later in 2008, this link will be removed. Before it is removed, you may wish to save your statements to your computer or print them out for your records.

How will I access my accounts using the new system?

After your accounts are switched over to our upgraded system on November 12, the only number you will need to access all of your Deseret First accounts is your member number.

In most cases, your member number will be the same as your current account number. If you currently have multiple Deseret First account numbers, your member number will be your smallest account number. For example, if you currently have account numbers 123-4, 2345-6, and 123456-7, your member number will be 1234 because it is the smallest of all your account numbers.

Your member number will also be your login for your Online Account and the Phone Teller. Even if you don’t remember it, you can simply tell us your name and we’ll easily be able to look up your accounts.

How will this affect the internet banking website?

The internet banking website will have the same functionality with a completely new look and feel.

You will login to your accounts using your member number instead of your account number, and in most cases, your password will be the same (see link from member number).

There will also be added features such as the ability to send yourself email alerts if a certain check clears or if you account balance drops below a certain point.

If you have multiple Deseret First accounts you’ll notice more information on the screen than you’re used to. What you’re seeing is all of your personal accounts at Deseret First conveniently gathered all in one place—so you won’t have to keep track of all those account numbers. Your business accounts, however, will have a separate login from your personal accounts.

If you have trouble accessing or navigating the new website, feel free to call a personal account representative at 1-800-326-3328 during regular business hours for help.

Will I be able to understand the screen differences on the website and do the transactions I need to do?

Yes. The new website is very intuitive and easy to navigate. However, if you have trouble accessing or navigating the new website, feel free to call a personal account representative at 1-800-326-3328 during regular business hours for help.

How do I get help if I have trouble finding my way around the new site?

If you have trouble accessing or navigating the new website, feel free to call a personal account representative at 1-800-326-3328 during regular business hours for help.

Will I still be able to transfer money between my accounts on the internet?

Yes. You will be able to transfer funds between all accounts on which you are either an owner or joint owner. If for some reason you are unable to make a transfer in the new system that you were able to make in the old system, please call a personal account representative at 1-800-326-3328 during regular business hours for help.

Will I be still able to make transfers from my account to other members’ accounts on the internet?

Yes, but for security purposes you will need to establish a link between your account and the other member’s account if you are not a joint owner on their account. Please note that you will need to establish a link between each account (formerly known as suffixes) in which you to want to transfer funds.

For example, if in the legacy system you transferred funds from your checking account to another member’s savings account, you would be able to choose from a list of available suffixes in the members account in which to transfer money. In the new system, you will need to obtain from the member the EXACT account number (formerly known as a suffix) which you want to be able to transfer funds to and from. The member can obtain this number by looking it up on their online account or by using the chart below to convert their account and suffix numbers from the legacy system to the new account number in the new system.

If for some reason you are unable to make the link or perform the transfer, please call a personal account representative at 1-800-326-3328 during regular business hours for help.

Will I be able to transfer funds between my personal account and business account on the internet?

If you are listed as a joint owner on your business account you should be able to perform transfers between your business and personal account as usual. If not, you will need to establish a link between the two accounts.
